WELCOME TO AWACENIA
Join a growing community committed to empowering African women and children.
Our Programmes
At AWACENIA, we believe in empowering women, youth, and communities through skills, knowledge, and opportunities. Our programmes are designed to promote digital inclusion, economic empowerment, health and wellness, leadership, and sustainable development. Each initiative is practical, impactful, and rooted in real community needs, ensuring that beneficiaries leave not only with new skills, but also with the confidence and networks to transform their lives.
Education Access
Our Education Access programmes aim to remove financial, transport, and skills barriers through scholarships, learning materials, safe transport and after-school clubs so that children stay in school and succeed.
Protection & Rights
We work with families, schools, services and authorities to reduce harm, protect rights, and restore wellbeing for women and children through prevention, protection, and survivor-centred care.
Economic Empowerment
Our Economic Empowerment programmes aim to equip women and older children with marketable skills, financial literacy, seed capital and market linkages so they can start or grow enterprises, access decent work and increase household resilience
Policy & Advocacy
Our Policy & Advocacy programmes use impact evidence to influence policy, rally partners, and champion fair access to education, health and safety so that change is systemic and sustained.
Health & Wellness
Our Health & Wellness programmes strengthen the physical, mental and reproductive health of women and children through community-based care and practical wellbeing initiatives that help families stay healthy and thrive.
Mentorship & Career Pathways
Through Mentorship & Career Pathways, we link girls and young women to mentors, skills training, workplace experiences, and placement support to provide clear pathways and the networks they need to thrive.
