Mrs Gloria Mbonye is a finance and development professional with a background in Supply Chain, Finance and Economics. Over the years, her journey has allowed her to work across finance, banking, investment management, financial planning and business development.
Beyond her professional experience, Mrs Mbonye has always had a heart for people, especially women and children who need access to support, opportunities and safe spaces to grow. This passion led her to become part of AWACENIA, a movement focused on empowering African women and children through education, skills development, mentorship, advocacy, protection and economic empowerment.
She believes that every woman and child deserves the opportunity to thrive, not only to survive. For her, empowerment means helping people build confidence, discover their potential and access the tools they need to create a better future for themselves and their communities.
Through AWACENIA, Mrs Mbonye contributes to meaningful change by building partnerships, supporting practical programmes and creating spaces where women and children feel seen, valued and supported.
